🌱 Summer Hands-On Learning in Action at Bristol Aggie! 🌱 Thanks to the MA FRESH CORP grant and their generous $35,000 in funding, our students from Animal Science, Floriculture, and our Food Services program have been fully immersed in interdisciplinary, skills-driven learning. From constructing tiered garden beds to installing grow lights and developing chicken brooder systems, this work is student-led, faculty-guided, and community-supported. A huge thank you to our Department Head Floriculture Danielle Chevalier and Faculty Sydney Flory, Landscape Foreman Matt Beane, and Vocational Director Ashley Fullen for leading these initiatives and ensuring strong alignment with curriculum goals. Project Highlights & Partners: Heart Beets Farm (@heartbeetsfarm): Crop planning and cultivation workshops. Keegan’s Lawn and Landscape (@keeganslhe): Consultation on tiered garden beds, built with student leadership. Unilock (@unilock): Provided paver materials for hands-on learning. Josh DaSilva (@DaSilvaFarms): Designed and installed the chicken brooder system.
