Environmental Engineering Program Description

Environmental Engineering (EE) is an extremely diverse field that includes all careers that focus on the conservation of the Earth's renewable resources. The goal of all environmental professionals is to conserve the global and local environment through sound scientific research. Environmental careers are among those projected to experience considerable growth in the coming decades. The Bristol County Agricultural High School Environmental Engineering program provides a broad introduction to various environmental fields and is delivered by instructors with professional experience in water resources management, aquaculture, and marine science. Students in the Environmental Engineering program have the opportunity to earn the 10-hour OSHA general industry safety certificate, First Aid and CPR, MA Boating Safety certificate, OSHA 40 HAZWOPER certificate, and FAA Part 107 commercial drone license.

What You Should Know About The EE Program

Environmental Engineering students and professionals often collect and analyze data indoors as much as outdoors. Many associated professions require report writing and research skills. For these reasons, the Environmental Engineering program teaches and encourages technical writing and professional communication skills. Statistics and research methods are also covered and emphasized in the Environmental Engineering curriculum.
